Great City Deli Logo, 2019
NOT an original design: the sign for Great City Deli at Divisadero and Bush in San Francisco featured Venus as a mustachioed waiter in a tuxedo serving San Francisco itself on a platter. I admired the sign for years before I realized that the mustache was actually the work of vandals. The sign (and deli) is now long gone; this is my attempt to recreate what I saw in my head based on cell phone photos I took from the car.
Dognuts, 2017
Pen, colored pencil/watercolor pencil. Made to enter in a donut-themed art contest. The original is currently hanging on the wall of San Francisco’s legendary Bob’s Donuts on Polk Street!

Lord of the Rings Valentine's Day card, 2014
The front of that word balloon read: “I’m pretty sure at least one of these arrows was shot by Cupid…” and then folded back to reveal that second half of the sentence (and the little flying Uruk-hai).
